The Young Poets of Port Henry

On Saturday, July 10 from noon-2pm Dave Donohue and Joan Daby will be at the library to sign the book, The Young Poets of Port Henry.  This is a  complation of poems from the years 1921-1935.

Make a Splash @ the Library

July 1  Wonders of Water  Learn about the water cycle.  Experiment with items that float.  Make a rain gauge.

 July 8  High Seas Adventures Learn about pirates.  find the hidden treasure.  Make and origami boat.

July 15  An Ocen of Fun  Participate in the sea serpent race.  Write a story about a serpment.  Play the Ocen dice game.

July 22  Magical Museum Show  Magician, Ron Cain, concludes the summer program with his magic show, "Captain HurriCain's Magical Unerwater Adventures".

All programs are form 6-7 pm and open to children ages 5-10 and their parents.

Be a Reading Champ

Between June 1 and August 21 children in grades kindergarden through sixth grade can win prizes for reading books.  Sign up at the library anytime during the program. 

 Book Discussion Group 

The book discussion group meets on the third Thursday of the month at 6 pm.  The group determines what books they want to discuss.  The books are obtained through inter-library loan for members of the group. The group is always open to new members.
